And I become the awkward guy in the office who isn't a Buckeye fan. Meanwhile I'm all like
Did you guys see Loeb's Pike's Peak run? That was frickin' nuts! Guys?

Man, I'd be the guy wearing blue and gold on Fridays, just to troll people.

This is how I make fun of every single team sport except my own:

There's plenty of Michigan fans in Ohio. Always someone dying to be different.

As a person who could not care less about football I understand your position. I spent most of last night chatting with just the ladies at a shindig because the other two dudes there were talking about their fantasy football teams the whole damned time.

lol I have a fantasy team, I never talk about it though, I see it more as a way to keep in contact with my college friends that spread all over the country after graduating.

It's really awkward when *someone* can't even grasp the concept of zone blocking and then goes on about LOL DUMB FOOTBALL PLAYERS JUST SMACKING INTO EACH OTHER FOR 30 SECONDS AT A TIME SO DUMB.
Also awkward when dudes at the office meet me for the first time assuming I know nothing about football or cars.

and that's cool. Its just bad when people get alienated because that is ALL some people want to talk about. Also, if there is fantasy football, does that mean that you could live action role play a fantasy football game? Gameception.

One of the things that really bugs me is a lot of guys treat you like you're an alien if you don't like whatever sport is in season but when you try to explain your sport of choice (Racing) and they can't even begin to comprehend why something like Loeb's Pike Peaks run was so impressive no matter how much you explain it.
Racing wins are measured in fractions of a second typically
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Imagine if Lebron broke the all time best record for most points in a game by a single player and scored 120 points by himself in one game besting the previous record of 100 points
All this typically falls on deaf ears.

Yeah, I quickly get bored of talking about Fantasy Football. But hey, at least you had the ladies :D

That happens to me whenever I try to explain why hockey is so exciting to the uninitiated.
You think no-hitters in baseball are exciting right?
Of course they are!
Well how can you not see how a 67-save shutout win in double overtime is also exciting? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!?

Also one thing I struggle with and this might be the same for the uninitiated is following Hockey on tv. More blackouts than any other sport plus just not as exciting as it is when you're there.

Blackouts are ridiculous. I've thought of paying for Center Ice before because the idea of watching hockey in my browser (legally) and not having to deal with cable is very appealing. Until you realize that all local games (or even games in your "broadcast area) are blacked out.
This means that if my Sabres are up in Toronto, I can't even view the out-of-state stream coming from HNIC because Toronto is so close, they're in the Sabres broadcast area.
Definitely pisses me off.

It might be better that way.... my first 3 years of undergrad were Coach Rodriguez's tenure. Ouch.

Well you might not be familiar with it but when a local game doesn't sell enough tickets they will not air the game to force more people to try and attend. That's the logic that was explained to me. I know hockey does it more than anyone because I used to do tech support for Verizon FIOS and these were most of the blackout calls I got. 2nd place is baseball. 3rd was surprisingly tennis.

That sounds right. We almost had NFL black outs, but not hockey. Sold out for over a decade. No state loves it's hockey like this one.
